Austin Webb...
Sit back and listen to Austin Webb's music and you'll hear his scratchy, but warm voice, perky guitar, and heartfelt, evocative lyrics. You'll hear the sound of a young man who listens to old music, a real songwriter - passionate about writing songs that matter. He writes the kind of dramatic, sweeping, anthemic songs that stay with the listener long after the record stops spinning or the stage lights are extinguished.
Born in upstate South Carolina, Austin Webb has been in love with music from a very early age, frequently raiding his father’s excellent vinyl collection to hungrily devour music like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen or Guy Clark. He has grown up with the insatiable, youthful enthusiasm for a song well done; and that's how he approaches his own music.
He has released two recordings, an album Written Photography, and an EP, Holy Smoke.
This past March, Webb won the Nashville Connection ( a nationwide songwriting contest) and was the opening act for country star, Craig Morgan. Since winning the competition, Webb’s single: “ Even angels fall” has charted at #82 on the Billboard top 100 country charts and is still climbing.
